My Why!

Many times as an author, I often have said what’s the point especially in the business of publishing I’m not getting rich with the books that I write and sell. As a matter of fact, I give away-way more books than I have ever sold. The stress and deadlines of finishing a book and the amount of money it takes to publish children books is ridiculous… so getting depressed or down in the dumps is occasionally one of the side effects of being a published author… so again… what’s the point?

Look at the curiosity in this young child’s face! That’s the point!

Continuing to see children’s eyes filled with curiosity and joy in receiving a new book, fostering an interest in printed words and children looking at beautiful pictures to go with those words is the point. These are the beginning stages of a child learning to read. I write and publish books just for the enjoyment of children’s imagination… what could be better than that? So what… occasionally, I’ve spent more money than I have bringing a book to life not to mention again giving away more than I sell…it’s all worth it right? YES! I say, YES! Every single time.😂
